    @EEight Thanks man!
    Do you know anyone who would be able to work on a port (or that I can possibly commission)?

    Anyone? I really do need some advice on this one.
    I need to have Pd in my game project. I already use local networking to make use of Pd but this is not something I can do when I publish my game.

    @rjp9 There is a plugin called stop autorefresh on the chrome web store but apparently it hasnt worked for a while. besides, i lost internet the other day for a little bit and it was still gobbling up one whole cpu.

    @rjp9 I was wondering that as well. Maybe the refresh interval just needs to be lowered to maybe once every 5 minutes? That's how I have my app notifications set up and that keeps battery usage on my phone pretty low.

    @whale-av I use chrome because It handles the webpage threading and webgl a lot better and I have a couple plugins ive written for myself.
    So, now we know its not specific browsers causing this.

    I'm looking through the site HTML to see if i can find anything.

    does anyone know how often the webpage calls home to check for new notifications? I'm thinking that may be contributing.

    @Johnny-Mauser hey, thanks man.
    say I'm wanting to use puredata to apply some visual effects to a video file, is there a way i can make sure that it doesn't skip any frames when im using pix_record and make sure it retains the same framerate as the input video file?

    Lately ive just been using ShareX to screencap the GEM window but that tends to be a bit heavy on my system and may cause issues in the future. I've been playing with the idea of having the video data streamed over localhost for VLC to capture but I haven't actually attempted it yet.
    What method do you guys think would be the best for my setup? (4+ year old toshiba laptop, intel core i3 processor with shoddy integrated gpu)

    Thanks in advance :3

    Spigot was exactly what I was looking for. :)

    Anyone?
    Surely there's some way to toggle wire connection between GEM nodes?
    I don't care if it's complex, i just need it to work... :(

    @yearoftherat as far as i know, none exists. You could probably make your own if you have the expertise to do so.

    Is there a [*~] equivalent for use with gem signals? I'm experimenting with realtime video effects in GEM but the only way to switch them is by manually disconnecting the wires and reconnecting them where i need them.

    Thanks in advance! :)

    @whale-av

    I have not listened to this, but I think the butterfly effect must be producing a "fake" widening of the stereo induced in ones brain by a phase difference.

    that is correct

    Maybe you should just add a [hip~] and maybe only to the LR ("side") source?......to preserve a bass signal "centre stage" (on the "mid")..........

    You are welcome to give it a shot! I might try it out later, but I'm still learning how Pd works in the first place. My knowledge of digital audio programming is still very limited. :P

    Hi, I've noticed a few things about how this site handles certain types of data that worries me. Is there a specific person I should contact on the matter? I'd rather not shine a light on the issues publicly for fast of the wrong person coming across it. :P

    Would you mind uploading the wav file in question (or at least one that displays the same effect)?

    So, I use Blender Game Engine (written in C, uses python for scripting) for pc game development and Godot Engine (written in C++ and has an "easy to use" C++ API along with its own scripting language [gdscript]) for some pc games and mobile games.
    I have a few questions about functionality and implementation.

    • How difficult does it tend to be when it comes to implementing something like libpd into a 3d game engine with 3d sound.
    • Would I have to implement it as a complete replacement of the existing audio engine or is it somewhere along the lines of plug-and-play?
    • Can I use my existing PD patches and just add special bindings for it to be called by libPd or do i have to rewrite them as scripts?
    • Will I need someone more experienced than myself to make a proper implementation of libpd in these engines? (My programming experience is primarily in Python and visualbasic .NET (oh god, i can hear the negative comments coming already). I have a basic understanding of C and C++ but only good enough to look over code and sort of understand what's going on. I'm planning on taking a computer sciences course next college semester but i'm pretty certain that will not be enough for me to get anything serious done as far as implementation.)

    I really need libPd for the current projects since there's no procedural audio or sequencing system in these engines i'm working with.

    Thanks in advance.

    I'm terribly sorry for necro-bumping this thread but...
    Is there any way to compile pd-l2Ork for windows perchance? (without using a wrapper such as cygwin)
    I'm locked to windows because of intel and my bios manufacturer. (intel won't fix their i3 integrated gpu linux drivers and a bios update was pushed by phoenix that causes grub to freak out and crash)
