Trying to resurrect some old pd-extended scripts that use "udpreceive" , "unpackOSC" and "routeOSC" and run them in 0.49.1. Whats the process for converting? I can see the OSC stream so I know the data is there.

    Thanks,
    Tom

I have a MindWave headset that reads brain waves and transmits them via Bluetooth. I am sending OSC data to PureData which either generates audio or sends Midi data.

The problem is, the data jumps around and it is difficult to tell how it is trending. I'm thinking if I could do a running average of the incoming data, it would be more usable. The data comes in on one second intervals.

I would appreciate some feedback on how to accomplish this in pd.

    General feedback/suggestions appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Tom

I was running some patches in pd-extended that slammed the CPU, so I had to force quit. Now when I try to open a file from within a patch by clicking the bang, the circle goes dark and I don't get a file dialog to open a file. If I click the toggle above a metro, the bang below it goes dark (does not blink to the beat).

Also, when I put a patch in edit mode, I can select objects with the mouse, but can't move them. Very odd.

CPU usage is less than 1%, so I don't think I have an endless loop.

I'm thinking of just deleting pd-extended and reinstalling from the original binary, but I'm guessing that something got left behind from the crash that is causing problems.

And I would like to know what is going on.

    Thanks,
    Tom

I have a Raspberry Pi and a Fluxamasynth card :

    http://shop.moderndevice.com/products/fluxamasynth

It is a single chip Atmel synth and interfaces via serial. Does anyone know how to address the UART serial interface in a Raspberry Pi as a MIDI port?

    Thanks,
    Tom

Could you enclose the Economy Wave Driver in a padded box that would muffle the sound?

    Mattia,

Can you use OSC to control parameters? CC messages for the knobs?

    Thanks,

I just discovered Trackmate and your post. I just finished building a rePatcher to use with PD and have some interest in building a more complex tangible interface. Perhaps if you posted a video, we could see how it works. Otherwise, readers of the forum would have to build the Trackmate to test your patch.
