hey thanks a lot both of you!
@alexandros , after a lot of ressearch I have to agree with you. I compiled the 0.47 pd vanilla (that has deken plugin included) and got the gem down. but once in the patch its just not working. OpenGL doesnt work on pi yet.... but Im sure it will happen anytime soon!

@whale-av , thank you for the link, I will look more into it, it seems to be what Im looking for! However, I saw a guy doing something similar with proccessing. so maybe for the time being pd is just not the best solution for a pi when it comes to realtime video....

    hello pd,

Did anyone find a solution as to how to get GEM working in vanilla 0.47? (and furthermore on a pi3?)
Is it possible to just get it from the deken.plugin?

thanks a lot for the quick reply!

hmm okay then maybe pd isnt the way to go. but there must be a way to have a sensor impact a video right?

    hey pd brains!

im really in super need of some advice.

i want to use a raspberry pi with a beamer to project a video that is manipulated by a touch sensor. Is it possible to use PD in that sense?

I can only find examples of audio influencing video, and in my case there wont be any audio at all..

I would be extremely gratefull for your help :)

    hey pd peeps!
i was wondering if anyone could tell me whether the following is completely impossible or not:

i have a raspberry that is looping videos through a beamer. I would like the video to be manipulated by an external touch sensor. so no sound.

raspberry pi - pure data - touch sensor

    what ya think?

    hey sylvian!
just wanted to check in and see if you got any further with your project?
im kind of in the same right now, just video instead of sound.
would love to see how you managed!

    hello pd-people!

i would like to make a project where a video on a beamer is controlled by a capacitive touch sensor.

I would like to know, if you think its possible to run a video from the pi, have PD as a in inbetween program that both picks up the signal of the sensor and also translates it to the video?

it seems most people use arduino, but i would see if its possible to link togetether a raspberry a sensor and puredata?

    thanks a million!
