I want to get a graph from a Impulse Response wav file after rfft conversion.

I want to do this with the l02.Hann.window.pd and the integrated pd fft-analysis
As expacted the patch works fine when i get in with the preset signal which is a osc~ signal. But how can I get in with a wav. file?

my first idea was that i do it with:

[open ... (

[readsf~]
|
pd fft-analysis

is that okey? my problem is that i can see no graph and i'm not sure why? too less gain from the impulse response?!

well one additional question to this:

is it possible to write such a table in another table/array!
The idea is that i have many of this IRs and want to store them in an array for a later fft with another signal.
With a slider it should be possible to switch between the differen IRs of the array and use them for my fft. I hope my idea is clear?!?!^^

it could be easy/lightweigt if you don't have too much files.
Just load as many IRs as you need into various tables named for instance $0-ir1 , $0-ir2 , $0-ir3 , etc, and select the one beeing used for the fft feeding the input of the [tabreceive~] with the name of the corresponding table.

If you have many many IRs to handle, this becomes heavier if you simply duplicate the objects, but a smarter version could implement a kind of table addressing for automated handling, using the suffixes in table names.

well there a about 150 - 200 IRs I want to handle!
well the idea is to control the IRs via a slider. this sliders outputs a number/index wich can be used to manipulate the adressing of the tabrecvieve object?!
this also means that I have this many many IRs in a seperate table with numbers from 1 - x????

Does this works also for [tabreceive~]? so that i can say [tabreceive~ir$0] and change the $0 to $1, $2 etc. via a number box or a slider?!

i got the array $0-magnitude in you patch! Just for testing i want to take this array and write it in another array. so that i have two arrays with different names but with the same content.

i tried it with

[tabreceive~ $0-magnitude]
|
[tabwrite~ $0-test]

so i want to see how i can transfer array content from one array to another...as i said just for testing!

I usually use an [tab_copy] object, from iem_tab library (you'll find it using the browser of the help menu). It's straightforward.

I think that [tabreceive~] is off topic here. Manual reading of a table and writing into another table can always be done, however. Basically you make a loop and use [tabread~] and [tabwrite~] objects.

by the way i managed the $0 and $1!

well i don't no but i can't find the iem libray at my system! Perhaps it isn't installed and i have to download it otherwise i have to do it by the loop!

Sorry, I assumed you were using Pd-extended, which comes with many libraries. You will have to install it by yourself (see topics on this forum, depending on your OS), or build a loop.
