Hello there! I'm a newbie to Pd and had a question that I was hoping to get some help with from you fine folks.
I've attached the patch I'm working on. Basically, the idea is that there are three oscs playing randomly generated notes from a just intonation A major scale. But what I want them to do is play at different tempos i.e. 1st at 1000ms, 2nd at 1500ms and 3rd at 2000ms. Let's ignore the 1st osc since it's not the problem here. I can do this if all three metros, randoms, and oscs are separate from one another, but what I wanted to do is have the 3rd osc take the randomly picked number (which gets turned into a note) from the 2nd osc and add 2 to it before playing it. The catch is that I can't seem to get the notes to be connected in this way while still having their metros banging on their own; they both just end up banging at the same time, which is that of the 2nd osc. I've tried using pipe, but that won't get me what I want, which is to use the note of osc 2 to determine the note of osc 3 but also retain the 4 over 3 rhythm between oscs 2 and 3.
Phew. I hope that was clear! I'm sure that looking at the patch will clear it up, if not.
It's been bugging me for a bit, so any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.
