i got a huge problem and hope somebody can help me asap. ^^ i'm working on a project for the university and it still doesn't work...well:

i wanna use the wiimote via OSCulator, that works fine. but somehow i can't get datas from OSCulator into pd. i searched in this forum, found something similar and followed the instructions were given. but all i get is following error message:
"error: gatom: no method for '/wii/1/accel/pry/0'"
and
"error: gatom: no method for '/wii/1/accel/pry/1'"
what does this mean? i guess an error in the pd patch.

my pd-and OSCulator patch is attached. i would be really thankful if anybody could help me, because the whole project seems to break down because of this(probably) little problem.

i didn't look at yr patch, but i think 'gatom' is a number box, so replace that with:

[route /wii/1/accel/pry/0]

does that work?

lif so, do the same for /wii/1/accel/pry/1

i changed the object to what you told me and added an another one(one for roll and other for pitch movement) also with route instead of OSCroute and print. now it works how it should...thanks.

me again. ^^ like i wrote the last time: it still works fine with one wiimote.

today i tried to use 4 wiimotes and put the necessary 3 other objects intp pd, with same settings as on the first wiimote.
my problem now: wiimote 1-> working fine(pitch & roll)
wiimote 2-> only pitch works, roll doesn't
wiimote 3-> only roll works, pitch doesn't
wiimote 4-> same as wiimote 2

so, i don't know why 'cause i used the same settings as on wiimote 1. and the error message is the same as the last time: "gatom: no method for 'wwi/1....."
the strange thing about is, that the error message is also for wiimote 1...but this is working fine. ^^

any ideas?

one easyer way would be to use midi controler from Osc :
you assign whatever u want (accel, pitch ...) to a midi controleur (like control 2) in Oscu, then get it in Pd, using "ctrl in 2" from the left outlet u'll get a value (0 to 127) ...

I've a problem similar to that of pdNOOB, i'm actually working from glovepie, but for the same purpose, starting by sending a simple message, the mouse position. so i have the routing working out ok from the udpreceive and routeOSC /mouseX, but i'm getting the 'gatom error' as well. if i print the result there is no problem, i get values ranging from 0 to 1. but if i replace the print with a number box, it doesnt show on the box and pd just prints 'gatom error: no method for 0.35' and every other number that is sent. is there some way to convert these messages into real numbers that pd can read?

pdNoob, the error is a result of the fact that you're using [route], not [OSCroute] or [routeOSC] (from mrpeach, better than OSCx). [route] doesn't deal with url-type OSC messages. So it doesn't recognize the message it's getting, and so it sends it out its right outlet, which you have connected to a number box. And the number box isn't going to understand an OSC message, either.
