Hello,

I'm struggling to install the helios external library (https://github.com/timredfern/pd_helios) in Purr-Data on a mac running 10.15.6
I think I managed to build the library (it created a darwin file) and i moved the whole folder to

/Applications/Pd-l2ork.app/Contents/Resources/app.nw/extra/pd_helios

My startup preferences have that same path in the search path window and "helios" in the libraries one. but when i open Purr-Data i get "helios: can't load library"
What obvious thing am i missing? I have not used Pd in years...

I also tried copying the helios folder to /Library/Pd-l2ork and adding that path to the search path preferences, to no avail.

Yes, but I'm looking for an error that tells me why it isn't loading. Starting up with the "-verbose" flag achieves that.

You should be able to add the "-verbose" flag in the Preferences menu. Then exit and restart Purr Data.

here's what i get. i'm pasting as much as i can here. i can paste more if you want, but perhaps this gives you an idea already? hope so. guessing the startup preferences are not right, but i'm not sure what to fix, sorry!
